I'm a nurse and I see a lot of women who have issues with their birth control. If you notice any serious symptoms or anything really worrying, go to the doctor immediately. Don't wait it out and hope the side effects will go away.
I've been on these for six months now, and the iron has definitely helped with my iron deficiency. No serious side effects, just some minor headaches and occasional nausea. But I haven't had weight gain or mood changes.
This works fine for me, but not everyone should be on birth control. Be sure to talk to your doc about your health history.
I think that the iron and hormones combined really helped with some of my period issues. I've been so much less tired and overall way less irritable but I have had some really weird headaches.
