Phenergan Syrup W/dm: What are Your Experiences?
Phenergan Syrup W/dm is a combination of promethazine and dextromethorphan used for cough and cold symptoms. It's known for its effectiveness but also has a range of side effects, some of which can be serious. I've been prescribed it a few times and it seems to work well, but I'm curious about others' experiences. Have any of you had significant side effects or weird experiences? This stuff can be wild at times, like after a few doses and I'm sleeping all day! What are your thoughts?
I've never had a bad reaction to it, but I've heard horror stories about people who have. Just be careful and listen to your body if you're planning on taking it
I've taken this stuff and it knocked me out for hours. Never again after that experience.
I actually found it helpful for my cough, but the drowsiness was way too much. Didn't realize how bad it was until I tried doing anything after taking it. Don't mix it with caffeine.
I took it once and felt like I was on another planet. Definitely not something I'd take regularly. I had to check the side effects and yes, I did experience a few of them.
I felt like it helped my allergy symptoms and cough, but I literally slept all night and had to wake up way too early because I had school the next day.
I had to stop taking it because it made my mouth so dry. I was constantly drinking water. I think this is why I gave it up.
