My experience with Sodium Acetate 4meq/ml Inj 50ml IVs - Asking for others to share their insights
I've been on Sodium Acetate 4meq/ml Inj 50ml IVs for a couple of weeks now, and I'm curious to hear from others who have had similar experiences. I was prescribed it to help with acid-base balance issues and to supplement sodium while on TPN. So far, I haven't experienced any major side effects, but I'm aware of the potential risks, especially the severe allergic reactions and electrolyte imbalances. Has anyone else dealt with these, and if so, how did you manage? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!
I had a friend who was prescribed this and they didn't do their research. I am glad I was able to catch the seriousness of this before anything bad happened.
