Just received Triamcinolone Ace 40mg/ml, 5ml injection for arthritis. Any advice on using it safely?
I've been diagnosed with severe arthritis and my doctor prescribed me Triamcinolone Ace 40mg/ml, 5ml injection. I've never used an injection before, let alone a corticosteroid. The side effects list is long and a bit scary. Has anyone else used this? Any tips or warnings? I want to make sure I use it safely and effectively. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I had a friend who used it for allergies and had to stop because of the stomach issues. She felt like absolute trash. But she did say it helped a lot when she could take it.
Triamcinolone really helped my skin issues, but I had to stop using it because of the hair thinning. It’s a trade-off, and everyone's different. Just keep an eye on how your body reacts.
For real, when they say immediate, they mean immediate. I had a bad reaction once and waited a few hours. Big mistake. Get to the doctor ASAP if you feel weird.
How often are you supposed to take it? I've heard it's not meant for long-term use.
