Has anyone used Ciclodan 0.77% Cream for Athlete's Foot? What was your experience like?
I recently picked up Ciclodan 0.77% Cream to treat my persistent athlete's foot. The doctor says it works by stopping the growth of the fungus. I've never used this type of cream before and have been reading up on the possible side effects. Has anyone else tried this cream? What was your experience like? I'd love to hear about any side effects or tips on how to use it most effectively. I've been really careful to dry my feet thoroughly and apply it as directed, but I'm still a bit nervous. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Seriously though, if you experience any weird symptoms, go see a dr. Don't mess around with this stuff. I've seen a lot of people who ignored their symptoms and ended up with a much worse infection. DO NOT IGNORE SWELLING, IT CAN GET WORSE QUICKLY. Also, do not share it with others. It's not a skin moisturizer to share with friends. Use your own. Do not share medicine.
Be careful not to use too much. A little goes a long way. I've heard if you use too much it can cause irritation. It's a weird feeling to know you have to use so little, but it really makes a big difference because it's more potent than I expected.
Did your doctor mention itching would be a side effect? Like my skin cannot handle this cream, it's been a nightmare. I wish I could just take a pill or something. I've got redness and swelling right at the application site
I had a slight burning sensation when I first started using it, but it went away after a few days. Stick with it if you can, it might just be your skin adjusting.
I've used it before and it worked great for my jock itch. Just make sure you apply a thin layer and wash your hands afterwards
I had no luck with this cream. I think it might be the base of the cream. I've had good luck with Lamisil in the past. I've never had side effects with that, but I think it might be better for me, overall, to avoid creams 100%.
I got an allergic reaction to it. My skin was so itchy and I couldnt stop scratching. I had to switch to something else right away. I'd recommend trying a small amount first to see how your skin reacts.
I've got no side effects, but it's weird - the cream smells weird and tastes bad and I'm just uncomfortable touching it. Does anyone know if it's supposed to smell like that? I've got a picture somewhere , trying to find it.
I can't believe I've finally found someone else who uses this stuff. I thought I was alone. I guess it's not that uncommon, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one dealing with this.
Make sure to keep the area clean and dry. That's what my doctor told me. Moisture is bad for fungal infections. So just make sure you're drying really well and letting it breathe.
