What are the side effects of Dexamethasone 1mg Tablets?
I've been prescribed Dexamethasone 1mg Tablets for an inflammation issue, and I'm a bit concerned about the side effects. The doctor said it's a steroid and that it's important to know what symptoms to watch out for because a few of them can be serious. I've read over the pamphlet that came with the medicine, but it all feels a bit overwhelming. I would love to hear from people who have taken this medication. What side effects did you experience? How long did they last?
I had a really bad reaction to Dexamethasone. I started getting severe stomach pain and ended up in the ER. Turns out I had pancreatitis. Scary stuff. If you feel bad, don't wait it out!
I had some really bad night sweats when I was on Dexamethasone. I woke up soaked and had to change my clothes and sheets almost every night. I used to just change the sheets while I was still in bed and then just throw the wet ones in the washing machine. It was a pain, but it helped me sleep.
I felt a bit better over-all, but I didn't experience any significant side effects. Just a bit of hair thinning, but it grew back. I think maybe my dose was lower than yours? Don't forget to drink plenty of water and eat healthy. Good luck!
Be careful with this one. My cousin had some major mood swings.
Just make sure to take it with food. It can be hard on your stomach.
