Vilazodone 40mg Tablets: My Experience and Side Effects
I was recently prescribed Vilazodone 40mg tablets to treat my depression. I've been taking it for a few weeks now and have noticed some improvements in my mood, but I've also experienced some side effects. The medication is supposed to be taken with food, which is a bit inconvenient, but I'm trying to stick to the prescription. Has anyone else had similar experiences with Vilazodone? What were your side effects and how did you manage them?
I started Vilazodone and within a week I had a really serious reaction. I noticed my urine was blood red and I started to panic. My doctor said it was a rare side effect... Better safe than sorry I guess?
Has anyone experienced sexual side effects? I've heard it can cause problems like decreased interest in sex and trouble getting an erection. It's something I'm really worried about.
I had a really bad reaction to Vilazodone. I started getting severe headaches and feeling very confused. I called my doctor right away and he took me off it. I had to switch to something else, but it was a bit of a rough transition.
For me, the biggest issue was the dry mouth. It was so bad at times that I had to keep a water bottle with me all the time. But overall, the improvement in my mood made it worth it. Also, nail biting is a classic sign of serotonin problems. Be careful!
