I was prescribed Tadalafil 20mg tablets for BPH and ED. The doctor explained that Tadalafil helps relax muscles in the prostate and bladder to improve urinary flow and increase blood flow to the penis for an erection. I was also surprised to find out that it has benefits for pulmonary arterial hypertension. I'm curious to hear from others about their experiences with Tadalafil, especially any side effects they may have encountered. Also curious what patients with PAH experience with this drug. The side effects listed seem quite serious, has anyone experienced any of these long term?
Side effects are real. I had a painful erection that lasted over 4 hours once. It was terrifying. I had to go to the ER and they told me this was a medical emergency. My doctor suggested using Tadalafil no more than once every 24 hours. I've been careful since and haven't had any issues.
I think it's important to note that serious side effects are rare. I've been taking Tadalafil for over a year now and haven't had any major issues. Just the occasional headache. I think it's worth a shot if you're struggling with ED or BPH. But definitely talk to your doctor about your medical history first to make sure there are no risks.
