Sharing Experiences with Valacyclovir 500mg Tablets for Herpes and Shingles
Hello everyone, I have just started taking Valacyclovir 500mg Tablets for a recurring outbreak of shingles. I have heard that it can be very effective but also comes with some potential side effects. Has anyone else had any experiences with this medication? Specifically, I want to know about the severity of side effects and any tips for managing them. I am also curious how long it typically takes to see improvement in symptoms. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
I had a really bad allergic reaction to it. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. Scary stuff. If you notice anything like that, get to a doctor ASAP!
Valacyclovir has been a lifesaver for my shingles. I started feeling better within a week. The worst side effect I had was some mild nausea, but it was totally worth it. Make sure to take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.
Been on it for a while now, and while it's helped a lot with outbreaks, I did have some kidney issues. If you have a history of kidney problems, definitely talk to your doctor about this.
Got prescribed Valacyclovir for shingles. Wasn't sure what to expect but I've had no side effects so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
Take it as soon as you feel the first symptoms. It might help reduce the duration and severity. Just make sure to take it consistently.
