Sharing Experiences with Quetiapine 300mg Tablets for Mental Health Conditions
I've recently started taking Quetiapine 300mg tablets for bipolar disorder, and I'm curious to hear from others who have similar experiences. I've heard it can help with mood swings and hallucinations, but I'm also concerned about the potential side effects. Has anyone else dealt with these side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? I'd love to hear both positive and negative experiences, as well as any tips on coping with the medication. Also, I'm wondering how it compares to other medications like Lithium and Valproate. Looking forward to your insights and experiences.
I've been on Quetiapine for a while now, and I’ve noticed some weight gain, but it’s manageable with a healthy diet and exercise. It's actually not as bad as the weight gain from some of the other medications I was on.
This is such a good thread. I was curious about Quetiapine and it's good to hear from other people's experience.
That's a good point. I've heard some horror stories about people mixing Quetiapine with alcohol. Is that really that dangerous?
I've been on Quetiapine for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my bipolar disorder. The drowsiness was intense at first, but it's gotten better. I still get some weight gain, but it's worth it for the stability it gives me.
I switched from Lithium to Quetiapine and the difference is night and day. My mood swings are much more manageable, and I haven't had any major side effects yet. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
I've had some issues with the side effects. I've experienced extreme drowsiness, weight gain, and dry mouth, and I've tried to manage them with lifestyle changes. I've also dealt with some constipation but alternating fibre supplements with a low sugar diet have helped
I'm glad I found this thread. My doctor just prescribed Quetiapine, and I was wondering what to expect. Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'll keep an eye out for those side effects and hope for the best.
Be careful with the dizziness and fainting. I've seen someone have a seizure while on it. It scared me and I don't think I could handle it if it happened to me.
It's important to drink lots of water throughout the day. I found myself getting really dehydrated whenever I'd forget. It's helped a ton with the dry mouth and some of the other dehydration symptoms. Also, try to avoid alcohol while taking this. It can mess with your mood and create a bad situation.
I only took Quetiapine for a short while but had some really bad side effects. I got some crazy shakiness and trouble controlling my movements, and I couldn't shake the feeling that something was seriously wrong. It was terrifying and I went straight to the hospital for help.
