I've been getting Selenium IV injections (Selenious Acid 40mcg/ml, 10ml) for a while now due to issues with getting nutrients through my diet and TPN. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience with this? What side effects have you encountered, and how have you managed them? The urgent side effects listed are scary, and I'm hoping to hear from others who have been through this. Additionally, has anyone found ways to reduce vein irritation? I've also been on Selenium IV injections. The vein irritation was a bit of a problem at first, but my nurse showed me some techniques to minimize it. Make sure the injection site is clean and dry. Also, try to keep the arm still during the injection and apply a warm compress afterward to reduce swelling. This helped me a lot, though I was a bit nervous about such a small dose being able to help in the first place.
