Scared of side effects from Nabumetone 500mg Tablets.... anyone else?
Hi all, I've just been prescribed Nabumetone 500mg Tablets for arthritis pain and I'm terrified of the potential side effects. The list is so long and some of them are so serious. Has anyone had experience with this medication who can share some calming insights? Or maybe some tips on how to manage the side effects if they do happen? I'm really trying to educate myself and want to be as prepared as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I've been on Nabumetone for a while and the only issue I had was a slight stomach upset at the beginning. I took it with food and it went away. Definitely talk to your doctor about it and keep an eye out for the urgent side effects. But don't freak out too much; everyone is different. If it's working for you, then it's a good choice.
I had to stop taking it because the dizziness was too much to handle. But everyone is different, so don't worry too much. If you do experience side effects, just talk to your doctor about alternatives.
I had a friend, who was prescribed with Nabumetone. She experienced nausea but it was bearable. She also had a bit of stomach ache but it went away. Initially she skipped it for a few days because of it but it didn't help her pain without the drug so she decided to keep going but with food.
I was terrified of these drugs at first too, but it really helped my shoulder pain and the side effects were minimal. I had some stomach upset but switching to taking it with food helped.
I was taking this and I got really bad headaches, but it was my fault for not taking it with food. I switched to ibuprofen and it helped with my pain. I know people who have had no problems with Nabumetone though. I just suggest trying to take it with food, and it might help. If it doesn't, you can always talk to your doctor about stopping it.
