Recombivax HB Vaccine for Kids: Side Effects and Experiences
I recently had to get my newborn vaccinated with Recombivax HB and I was worried about the side effects. The vaccine is important to protect against hepatitis B, but I want to hear from others who have gone through this. Any parents out here who have given their kids this vaccine? How did it go? Any concerning side effects or everything smooth? I know rash, hives, and itching can be signs of a serious allergic reaction too, so any advice on what to specifically look out for? Thanks in advance!
I work in pediatrics and I can assure you that while the side effects can be scary, they are rare. Just follow the guidelines and you'll be fine.
My daughter had the vaccine and she had a mild fever and some irritability for a day, but nothing too bad. I just kept her comfortable and hydrated.
We had ours vaccinated last month. She had a slight fever and was a bit irritable for a day, but nothing too bad. Definitely keep an eye on any unusual symptoms though!
My kid had a mild reaction with some redness at the injection site, but overall it was fine. Just make sure to monitor them closely for the next 24 hours!
I had to give this to my kid last week and he was crying all the way home. But no other problems, just some redness at the site. We've been keeping track of his temps too.
