Paricalcitol (Zemplar 2mcg/ml Inj) Side Effects: What You Need to Know
I've recently been prescribed Zemplar 2mcg/ml Inj (Paricalcitol) to manage my PTH levels due to kidney disease. The doctor didn't go into much detail about the side effects, so I'm looking for some real-life experiences and advice. Has anyone else taken this medication? What were your experiences with side effects, and how did you manage them? The list of possible side effects is quite long and a bit scary. I've heard some scary stories about allergic reactions. If you start to feel any tightness in your chest or throat, get to a hospital ASAP. Better safe than sorry.
Paricalcitol helped a lot with my PTH levels, but I did have some frequent urination. It's a bit annoying, but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. If you are having frequent urination this is normal I had it too.

Be careful with this one, I had a bad reaction to it. I got really bad headaches and dizziness. Had to stop taking it. Ask your doctor about alternatives if you feel unwell.
