Myteisi 125mg Tablets - Has anyone tried this for HIV/AIDS related diarrhea?
I've recently been prescribed Mytesi (crofelemer) 125mg Tablets to help manage diarrhea while on antiretroviral therapy. I'm curious if anyone else here has experience with this medication. How effective has it been for you? Have you encountered any of the side effects like the common cold, cough, or gas? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any urgent side effects or allergies like rash, hives, itching, or trouble breathing. My doctor said it uses a different mechanism than other treatments by reducing water and salts in the intestines. I’m hopeful but also a bit nervous about potential reactions. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!
If you feel weird or have any signs of a reaction, just go to the ER. Better safe than sorry, especially with HIV. I'd rather be cautious than sorry.
