Padcev is a targeted cancer medicine that combines an antibody with a chemotherapy drug. The antibody helps deliver the chemotherapy directly to cancer cells that have a specific protein called Nectin-4 on their surface, which is common in bladder cancer. In my experience, it has been effective in targeting cancer cells while trying to spare healthy cells. I want to know more about the possible side effects and how others have managed them — especially electrolyte problems and lung issues! Has anyone else experienced these?
The hair loss was tough at first, but I got used to it and now I rock a hat most of the time. Just make sure you wear sunscreen under the hat, my friend got a nasty sunburn.
Padcev is known to cause urine tract infections. Make sure to drink plenty of water and keep an eye out for any burning sensations while urinating. If you notice any blood in your urine, seek medical attention immediately. It could be due to the medication or a sign of an underlying issue.
