My experience with Lybalvi 10mg-10mg Tablets for managing bipolar disorder, and dealing with its weight gain side effects

Has anyone here tried Lybalvi for bipolar disorder? I've been on it for a few months now, and while it's helped stabilize my moods, I'm really struggling with the weight gain. I'm up 20lbs already, and I feel like I can't stop eating. I'd love to hear from others who've had similar experiences, or maybe have some tips to manage this side effect? It's tough when my doctor told me that olanzapine will make me gain weight, but that samidorphan will decrease the risk. But for me that's not how things are going. Has anyone experienced this?

I switched to Lybalvi because I heard it was supposed to help with weight management, but I'm still gaining weight. It's frustrating because I've been eating healthy and exercising regularly.

This is a good question. I've been on Lybalvi for a while and actually saw a decent reduction in weight (about 15 pounds) over 6 months. I was doing low carb and intermittent fasting. So I think diet and exercise can make a difference. Sample upvotes:

I couldn't deal with the weight gain and switched to a different medication. I felt like the pros of Lybalvi didn’t match the issues with the weight gain. I wish the drug company could come up with a better solution for that.

I'm curious if anyone has had success with other medications or lifestyle changes to manage weight gain while on Lybalvi.
