Hello, all. I was recently prescribed Lacosamide 200mg/20ml Injections to manage seizures. I've been using it for a bit and am curious about other people's experiences. A friend of mine had to stop Lacosamide because of severe allergic reactions. It's rare, but it happens. If you start feeling weird or if your body reacts in unexpected ways, don't wait, go to the emergency room. I'm glad I'm not dealing with this myself, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Yea, I’ve had some issues with balance and fainting spells. My doctor told me this could be due to the medication and to be cautious. It’s tough, but I’m managing. Definitely let your doctor know if you notice any issues like this!
I wish I knew about this side effect! I had a bad case of hives when I took this medication. It was like a horror movie. Please take it seriously if you experience any rash, hives or itching.
My only concern is the potential for suicidal thoughts. It's scary. I've been extra cautious and have regular check-ins with my therapist. It's important to stay on top of your mental health while on this med.
Why do some people have to use the injection form instead of taking it orally? What’s the difference? I’ve never had to do that.
Stick with it. Shortness of breath and shaky feelings can be scary, but it’s worth it. Just be aware and cautious and your doctor can help you manage.
