My experience with Doxycycline Monohydrate 100mg Tabs - Severe side effects or just paranoia?
I've been prescribed Doxycycline Monohydrate 100mg Tabs for a sinus infection. I know it's a strong antibiotic and I'm a bit worried about the side effects. I've been reading about some of the severe side effects and I don’t know if I should continue. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I’ve had some mild stomach pain, but I’m really worried about the more serious symptoms. Any advice?
The side effects can be scary, but mild stomach issues are pretty common. Just make sure to drink lots of water and take it with food. I was fine after a few days.
If you experience any severe symptoms like those listed, go to the ER. It's not worth risking your health. I had a friend who had a bad reaction and ended up in the hospital.
I had severe joint pain with Doxycycline. It was awful. I had to stop taking it and switch to something else. Just be careful and listen to your body.

I got really bad diarrhea but that's common with antibiotics. Just make sure you stay hydrated. Drink lots of water!
