Living with Thalassemia: What's the Deal with EXJADE 500mg Tablets?
I've been on blood transfusions for a while now, and my doctor just prescribed Exjade 500mg to help manage my iron levels. I was wondering if anyone else has experience with this medication. How has it worked for you? What side effects have you encountered? Anything I should watch out for??
I'm glad I found this thread. I've just started taking Exjade and was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Thanks for the insights, everyone!
I've been on Exjade for a couple of years now. It's been a game-changer for managing my iron levels. Side effects were mostly mild, but make sure to keep an eye out for any signs of kidney or liver issues.
I had a bad reaction to it, so don't take that as a definitive. But for me, it was like the medication was out to get me. My doctor switched me to something else, so not all hope is lost if you have issues.
Can anyone tell me, how does it compare to deferoxamine? I've heard horror stories, but I haven't heard a lot of good about this stuff.
I'm really not a fan of this medication. My skin broke out into a rash that was just horrible. I finally told my doc that I was having issues, and I had to switch to something less harsh.
My body loves this stuff. Like, I love it, so I love it when you take it, you're basically me and I can be you. Get it??
