Living with Amlodipine-Atorvastatin 5/80mg Tabs: Managing High Blood Pressure & Cholesterol
I've been prescribed Amlodipine-Atorvastatin 5/80mg Tabs to manage my high blood pressure and cholesterol. I'm curious to hear from others who are taking this medication. How has it worked for you? Have you experienced any side effects, or does anyone have advice for managing them? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any long-term impacts or lifestyle changes that have helped.
Just started this med yesterday. My doc explained all the possible side effects, and now I'm a bit worried. Should I be?
I've been exercising more and watching my diet, which has helped manage my blood pressure and cholesterol. Definitely made a difference in how I feel overall.
I've been on this combo for a few years now. It's helped keep my numbers in check, but I did have some muscle aches at first. Drinking plenty of water and taking CoQ10 supplements helped a lot.
I had a UTI a few months ago while on this med, and it was terrible. I've always been healthy, but this one really knocked me out. I had to call an ambulance for all these fluids in my chest. It was a really scary experience and I was told to stop the meds for a bit.
My doc told me to avoid grapefruit juice with this med. I had no idea it was so important to avoid. I've completely cut it out of my diet just in case.
