Life with Oxymorphone 5mg Tablets: A Cautionary Tale of Pain Management and Serious Side Effects
I've been prescribed Oxymorphone 5mg Tablets for severe pain, and while they've helped, I'm terrified of the potential side effects. I've read about the dangers of respiratory depression and other severe reactions, and I can't help but worry. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'd love to hear from both patients and medical professionals on this front. It's important to take this medication as prescribed, but it should be a scary thing for anyone who has not dealt with opioids before.
This is why I’m reluctant to take any opioids. I'd rather deal with the pain than risk my life.
I can't believe one of the side effects is hallucinations. How did they approve this?
I had an allergic reaction to Oxymorphone, and it was awful. Had to go to the ER for the hives and swelling.
I know someone who's been on this for a while and it’s worked well, but they’ve had to monitor their breathing closely. It's a strong drug, so definitely follow doctor's instructions.
I took this for a broken leg and couldn’t function at all. But it worked like nothing else did. I'm glad I didn't have any of the severe side effects, but it was really scary knowing they were possible.
I can't believe this is the best we have for severe pain. The side effect list is terrifying! Have any of you considered medical marijuana as an alternative?
I'm grateful this medication exists, but the risks are too high for me. I'd rather deal with the pain than risk serious side effects.
I think it's important to remember that these medications are a last resort. Always discuss alternatives with your doctor.
I had a friend who overdosed on opioids and it nearly killed him. The fact that we're discussing this like it's normal is insane to me.
