Levaquin (Levofloxacin 250mg) Saved My Life - But It's Scary Stuff
I was prescribed Levofloxacin 250mg for a severe sinus infection. It worked wonders and I'm so grateful, but the side effects were no joke. I had awful stomach pain and even saw some light-colored stools which was really unsettling. After some Googling, I realized these were potential signs of liver problems. But then again, some people have no side effects! What's anyone else's experience been? How do we know when to push through and when to call the doctor?
My doctor told me I could get tendon issues. Not sure what that means but holy crap, I don't want them. I am on day 2, no issues. What should I be worrying about?
I had to go to the ER with intestinal pain after 3 days of Levofloxacin. Turns out I was reacting to it so they switched me to something else. Weird, cause my friend took it and felt nothing.
My mom once got a bad urinary tract and the doctor prescribed this. She was freaking out cause she was really dizzy and stuff, but didn't want to call the doctor. Luckily, someone else on this stuff made her call in. She got a hospital visit. Quite the night.
I read somewhere that it can cause blood sugar issues. But that doesn't effect me as I am not diabetic. Anyone else heard about this?
