Just switched to Lyleq 0.35mg Tablets - thoughts and experiences?
I just started taking Lyleq 0.35mg Tablets as a birth control option. I can't take estrogen-based pills due to health reasons, so my doctor recommended this 'mini-pill.' I'm curious to hear from anyone else who has experience with Lyleq. How have your bodies reacted to it? Have you had any side effects? I've heard mixed reviews, so I'm looking for some firsthand accounts to put my mind at ease. Thanks in advance!
I've been on Lyleq for about a year now, and I've had no major side effects, and it’s been spectacular. I had some initial spotting but after a few months, it all went back to normal. I actually prefer the mini pill to the combined pill, don't know why people go for the estrogen based ones unless they have issues with the mini pill.
I think the mini pill is grossly misunderstood, I had some friends who always complained about the pill but they were taking estrogen based ones. I switched to Lyleq and I've had no issues, just wish I had done it sooner.
Be prepared for irregular periods with Lyleq. It can take a while to regulate, but it’s worth it for those who can’t take estrogen. Stick with it for a few months before judging!
Did any of you experience changes in your period, like spotting or heavy bleeding? That's my biggest concern right now.
I had some weird skin patches on my face, but after a while my doctor said it's only if you get exposed to the sun. So I've started using sunscreen daily and haven't had any issues since.
I've had some nasty headaches and dizziness since starting Lyleq, but I guess it could be worse. The side effects aren't so bad that I want to stop taking it, just wish the side effects would go away sooner!
