Just started using Betamethasone Val 0.12% Foam for psoriasis. Any advice or experiences to share?
Hey Everyone, I was prescribed Betamethasone Val 0.12% Foam to help with my psoriasis. I've used it a few times now and I'm noticing some improvements, but I'm also a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone else used this and if so, what was your experience like? What should I really be looking out for? Also, how long does it usually take to see significant results? I'm hoping to hear from people who've been through this and can offer some words of wisdom. I used this for my eczema and it worked wonders. Just be careful with it. Mine got so much better after a few weeks.
Always patch test new topicals. I did this with Betamethasone, and thankfully, there was no reaction. So, it’s important to try it on a small area first.
I've used it for scalp psoriasis, and it stings a bit when applied, but it's manageable. Give it time, and be consistent. Don't skip applications.
It’s a bit pricey, but insurance covered most of it for me. If cost is an issue, definitely check with your insurance provider.
Side note but be careful with the foam, it can get messy. Try to apply it in the shower or something.
