Just started taking Simvastatin 10mg Tablets - any tips or experiences to share?
Hey everyone, I just started taking Simvastatin 10mg Tablets to manage my high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. My doctor said it's an essential step in lowering my risk of heart disease and strokes. I know it's a common medication, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I've been on Simvastatin for about a year now, and it's been great for my cholesterol levels. Just make sure to take it at night before bed, as that's when your body produces the most cholesterol. Also, keep an eye out for muscle pain; that was a rare but real side effect for a friend I know.
I took it for a few months and had to switch due to muscle pain. It was actually pretty severe, so be careful and if you start to feel anything strange, call the doctor. There are other options if this one doesn't work for you.

I couldn't tolerate it. I had to switch to another statin. But everyone is different, so don't get discouraged if you don't react well to it.
