Just started Perampanel 12mg Tablets for epilepsy. What can I expect?
I was recently prescribed Perampanel 12mg Tablets to help manage my seizures. My doctor said it's taken once a day, usually at bedtime. I've been doing some research, and it seems like it can have some serious side effects, which is a bit scary. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? How long did it take to see results? I'm also curious about the long-term effects and any tips for managing the side effects. Any advice or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated!
I've had some really bad hallucinations. I had to stop taking it, but it was worth it to keep my mind clear and safe.
I've been on Perampanel for about 6 months now. It took a few weeks to find the right dose, but it's really helped with my seizures. The dizziness was bad at first, but it got better over time. Just be careful—one time I fainted and luckily a friend was there to help me.
Be cautious and be sure to talk to your doctor if you experience any of the serious side effects. I had a friend who had an allergic reaction and had to stop taking it immediately.
I've heard mixed reviews about this one. Some people swear by it, others had awful side effects. It's definitely worth monitoring closely, but so is any seizure medication.
I was worried about the weight gain, but it didn't happen to me. I feel like I'm in a better place with this med and like myself again.
I had a rash and it was scary. Thought I was having a reaction, but it turned out to be just skin irritation. My doctor said it happens sometimes and it went away on its own.
Definitely give it a chance, but keep a close eye on your body's reactions. I had some memory problems at first, but my doctor adjusted the dose and it got better.
Make sure you take it at the same time every day. Consistency is key with these meds.
Good luck with your treatment, we’re all here to support each other.
