Just started on Micardis HCT 40/12.5mg - Anyone else on this combo for high blood pressure?
I was recently prescribed Micardis HCT 40/12.5mg for my high blood pressure. The combination of telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide seems promising, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else been on this medication? What was your experience like? How effective was it for you? Any tips for managing the side effects?
I love this medication. It's literally saved my life.
Can anyone confirm if this medication caused them to have erectile dysfunction?
I take this and I've felt great. No side effects so far, knock on wood. Just make sure to take it at the same time every day for best results.
I've been on Micardis HCT for a few months now, and it's been great for controlling my blood pressure. Make sure to drink plenty of water and monitor your potassium levels, though.
I was worried about the skin cancer risk, but my doctor said as long as I wear sunscreen and do regular skin checks I should be fine.
I switched to this from another combo and it's been good. Just be aware of the potential for dizziness, especially when you first start taking it.
I had horrible dizziness and fatigue at first, but it went away after a couple of weeks. Stick with it if you can.
