My doctor prescribed this medication to treat the nerve pain, and I'm hoping it will make a significant difference. I've read about the potential side effects, but I'm curious about real-life experiences. How long did it take for the medicine to start working? What kind of side effects did you experience, and how did you manage them? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I've had a pretty positive experience. I took it for a while and it really helped with my seizures. Just be aware of the extended-release aspect; it means you might feel drowsy for a longer period of time after taking it.
I had some pretty bad hallucinations when I first started. I didn't realize that was a side effect, but once I switched to a different medication and my doctor adjusted the dose, I felt much better. Stick with it, but keep your doctor in the loop.
