Just started Lupkynis 7.9mg Capsules for lupus nephritis – what to expect?
I was just prescribed Lupkynis 7.9mg Capsules for my lupus nephritis. I know it's supposed to help my kidneys by calming down my immune system, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? I'm especially worried about the urgent side effects like allergic reactions and infections. Any tips on how to manage these would be greatly appreciated! I've also heard about some other possible side effects like stomach pain and hair loss. Anyone have any insight on these?
I think some of the side effects like hair loss and headaches are manageable. Just make sure to keep your doctor in the loop. Do you have any other medications to help with that? I think it's worth it in the long run if it helps with your kidney function. I know someone who had the same issue and they took some medication for hair loss and it worked.

I had the flu-like symptoms for a week, but it faded after that. The worst part was the excessive sweating, but I managed it with a good hygiene routine and plenty of water.
