Just started Hydrocodone 30mg ER Tablets for chronic pain management. What are others' experiences?
I just started taking Hydrocodone 30mg ER Tablets for chronic pain management due to severe back issues. My doctor prescribed them after trying several other medications that didn't work. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. How has it affected your daily life? Any tips for managing side effects would be greatly appreciated!
I had horrible chest pain almost as soon as I started taking it — went to the ER and they said it was related. Luckily, my doctor switched me to something different, but yeah, be careful.
I've been on this for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my pain levels, but man, the drowsiness is real. Also, I've been pretty constipated. I take miralax daily to help counteract it. Keep an eye on your blood sugar levels too.
I cut down on caffeine as much as I could, because the combination of caffeine and hydrocodone was making me a zombie. I take my coffee with a lot less caffeine now.
I've had some really bad constipation issues. I started taking senna and a fiber supplement and it's helped a lot.
I had withdrawal symptoms the first time I missed a dose. Never again.
