Just received Kimyrsa 1200mg for a skin infection. Anybody have experience with this?
I was just prescribed Kimyrsa 1200mg injection for a serious skin infection. I've never heard of this antibiotic before and I'm a bit nervous. I know it's given as a single IV infusion, but I'm worried about the side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What was your experience like? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Kimyrsa is pretty effective, but the side effects can be intense. Make sure you're in a medical setting when you get the infusion, just in case. I had to get it through an IV drip and it was painful, but otherwise the process was simple, and I recovered within a week.
Kimyrsa is a strong antibiotic, and it's for serious skin infection only. It will work but come with a strong punch. I've not experienced severe side effects but would generally recommend to stay close to the hospital just in case. Also, make sure to stay in good contact with your doctor as well.
Glad to hear you're getting treatment! Kimyrsa can be a bit rough, but it's tough on bacteria too. Just make sure to stay hydrated and follow your doctor's instructions to the letter.
I had to take Kimyrsa a while back for a similar infection. It worked well, but I did experience some infusion-related reactions like flushing and chills. Make sure to talk to your doctor about managing these side effects.
This is my first experience with antibiotics and Kimyrsa is not the best place to start. I hope that it will work for you.
Be careful with the diarrhea. I had some pretty bad bouts and ended up having to treat it separately. Make sure to keep track of any symptoms and report them to your doctor.
If you experience any severe reactions, you should seek medical help right away. I've had similar experiences before and the symptoms can be very alarming. Just be prepared and you'll be fine.
It's funny how the worst part is feeling like a pin cushion from the IV. Be prepared for that.
