Just prescribed Amox-Clav 400mg/5ml Susp 75ml. Anybody had some serious side effects like allergic reactions?
I just picked up Amox-Clav 400mg/5ml Susp 75ml for a stubborn bacterial infection. The pharmacist mentioned some potential serious side effects like severe allergic reactions or liver problems. I've never had a bad reaction to antibiotics, but you never know. Has anyone else taken this and experienced any serious issues?
I'm more worried about the C. difficile part. My grandmother ended up in the hospital because of that. Antibiotics can mess you up!
I had to take this for a sinus infection last year. Never had any issues, but I made sure to finish the whole course. Trust me, you don’t want that infection coming back just because you felt better.
This is a prescription you've got to take seriously! Finish the whole thing, even if you feel better. Some people get off it early and end up worse off.
I took Amox-Clav for a serious infection and had no issues at all. For me, it was mild diarrhea and nausea. As long as you stay hydrated, you’ll be fine. But definitely watch out for the rare but serious side effects.
Oh man, the diarrhea was brutal. But nothing life-threatening. Just make sure to drink plenty of fluids and keep an eye out for any signs of those serious side effects.
My kid got a really bad rash from it. Had to stop giving it to her and switch to a different antibiotic. Kind of scary—just read through the side effects when you take new meds.
