Just got Xylocaine-MPf 1% Inj, 30ml for an upcoming procedure. Anyone have experience with this?
I've been prescribed Xylocaine-MPf 1% Inj, 30ml for some minor surgery I have coming up. I've never had this before and I'm a bit nervous. It's supposed to be a local anesthetic, but the list of possible side effects is quite concerning. Has anyone had experience with this? Did you have any issues? I don't really understand what methemoglobinemia is and why that's bad. The FDA website is pretty scary, but maybe that's just to cover their bases. I'm hoping to hear from anyone who has been through this.
