Just got my Granisetron 4mg/4ml Inj, 4ml prescription - Anyone have experience with this?
I'm scheduled for some intense chemotherapy and my doctor prescribed Granisetron to help with nausea and vomiting. I've read about the side effects and they seem scary - especially that serotonin syndrome. Has anyone had experience with this? Any tips for dealing with the side effects, or should I be worried? I know everyone's different but any anecdotes would be appreciated.
I had a bad reaction to Granisetron. Felt like I was having a heart attack. Doc switched me to something else. If you feel chest pain, go to the ER ASAP!
Serotonin syndrome is rare, but it's good you're aware. Just don't mix it with other stuff that affects serotonin levels. Stay safe!
Granisetron worked great for me during chemo. I didn't experience any major side effects, just a bit of dizziness. But everyone's different, so stay in touch with your doctor.

Be aware of what you eat - eating small meals and avoiding fatty stuff can help a lot. Also, stay hydrated! Good luck!
I'm on my 3rd cycle and it's been okay. Some dizziness, but nothing I can't handle. Fingers crossed for you!

I had the worst headache and constipation, but it could have been worse. Docs told me how to manage it.

Did your doctor mention if there's a generic version? It's always good to save a bit of money if you can.
