Just got my first dose of PreHevbrio 10mcg/ml Inj,1 Vial. What should I expect?
I just received my first dose of the PreHevbrio vaccine and I'm curious about what to expect in the coming weeks. The nurse mentioned that it comes with a list of possible side effects, but she didn't go into much detail. I’ve heard mixed things about how people react to it. Some say it's like getting the flu, others say it's nothing at all. I’m a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the rare but serious ones that require immediate medical attention. Has anyone here gone through the whole series of shots? If so, how did you manage any side effects? Also, how long after the first dose should I expect to start feeling protected against Hepatitis B? Any insights or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
I had a friend who had diarrhea for a few days after the first shot. It was pretty miserable but it wasn’t too bad. It's worth it to protect against getting Hepatitis B.
I think the first dose and then two more in the next six months. The whole process is pretty minimal, especially compared to the risk of Hepatitis B.
I guess i'm lucky, after my first dose I was absolutely fine. No side effects.
How many shots in total are there? I heard there are a few and not sure how long the whole process takes. Thanks in advance.
I got mine a few weeks ago and I felt just a bit tired the next day. Nothing too bad though.
Apply a cold compress for a few minutes after the shot, and keep the site elevated if possible. It helps with the soreness. I’d also recommend moving your arm around gently to keep the blood flowing.
I know someone who had a severe reaction to it. They ended up in the ER with hives and difficulty breathing. I'd keep an eye out for those symptoms and if you experience any, go to the hospital right away. I'd recommend always having a friend or family member around after you get the shot in case it happens to you.
