Invega 3mg Tablets: What are the side effects and is it worth the risk? My psychiatrist just prescribed this to me
I've just been prescribed Invega 3mg Tablets and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. The list is pretty scary, especially the ones that say go to a hospital right away. My psychiatrist said it's pretty safe for most people, but I've heard horror stories. I'm wondering if anyone has taken this and had any issues? I'm really hoping and expecting that I will be one of the lucky ones who don't experience any of the serious side effects. I just wanted to get a sense of what people’s experiences have been. Some of the side effects listed are pretty serious…..seizures, inability to control eye movements, high blood sugar, and prolonged painful erections can't be good. That is pretty scary. I heard there are some pretty rare side effects too, like tardive dyskinesia, that can be permanent. Is it worth the risk? It's great if it works, but I'm not sure about the side effects. Has anyone had any issues with the less common side effects? Has anyone reported their side effects to the FDA?
I’m on Invega and it’s been great for me. I haven’t had any side effects, but I do have a good doc.
Aren't there any other medications you can try? This one seems scary.
You should really get a second opinion before starting this medication. My doctor prescribed it to me, and it turns out i had an allergic reaction to it.
I've heard horror stories about Invega. Just be careful and monitor your symptoms. I would talk to your doctor about switching to something else if you start having side effects.
I had a bad experience with Invega. I ended up with a rash and itching, and I felt pretty feverish. I didn't have the other serious side effects, but it was enough for me to stop using it. Do not ignore those signs!
