How Does Gabapentin 300mg Help with Nerve Pain? My Experience and What to Expect
I was recently prescribed Gabapentin 300mg for nerve pain following shingles. I've heard mixed things about it, and I'm curious to know if anyone else has used it and what their experience was like. How noticeable is the improvement in nerve pain? Did you experience any troubling side effects? My doctor mentioned some serious ones to watch out for, but I'd like to hear from people who have actually gone through it. I also noticed the increased risk of suicidal thoughts. Has anyone had to deal with this, and how did they navigate it?
I’ve been taking Gabapentin for about a year now for postherpetic neuralgia. It’s made a huge difference in my pain levels, but I did have some side effects at first, like dizziness and drowsiness. They eventually went away, but it was tough. Always good to have someone check in on you if you start taking this stuff.
I've been taking it for a few months and I feel like the pain is barely improved. It felt like it wasn't worth the hassle of the side effects. Anyone had much luck with higher doses?
Severe skin reaction is a thing! Not sure I'd risk it again if I can help it.
Has anyone experienced any changes in behavior? I've felt more irritable and restless since starting Gabapentin, and it's been affecting my relationships.
