Have any of you had an allergic reaction to Xylocain-Epineph 1.5%1:200k Inj 30ml? My dentist gave it to me and I experienced some serious side effects.

I've had local anesthesia before with no issues, but this time I started feeling extremely dizzy and my face became swollen. I had to rush to the hospital, and the doctors told me I might have had an allergic reaction. After researching the medication, I found that it does have some serious side effects. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Was it a reaction to the lidocaine, the epinephrine, or both? Should I avoid this medication in the future, and if so, what alternatives should I ask for?
You shouldn't be afraid to speak up about these things. I had a similar experience with a different drug, and my doctor said it could have been a rare reaction to the epinephrine. Just because it's common doesn't mean it's harmless.

I'm not sure why dentists still use lidocaine with epinephrine. I've heard horror stories about people having their heart rate spike.
