Has anyone used Hydrocort Acet/Pramox 2.5%-1% Cream for eczema or dermatitis?
I've recently been prescribed Hydrocort Acet/Pramox 2.5%-1% Cream for my eczema, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I know it contains hydrocortisone and pramoxine, which should help with the itching and inflammation, but I'm worried about things like thinning skin or an allergic reaction. Has anyone here used this cream? What was your experience like? Did you have any side effects? I'd love to hear some real-life experiences and any tips on how to manage or mitigate the side effects.
Be careful with this stuff. I had a reaction the first time I used it. If you notice even a little bit of swelling, get to a doctor ASAP.
I used this cream for my dermatitis and it worked wonders. No side effects beyond a bit of dryness, which went away with consistent moisturizing.
Has anyone tried other treatments like cortisone or over-the-counter stuff? I'm curious if those work as well.
Stay away from it if you have facial eczema. It was too much and caused more problems. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist and figure out a plan with other treatments.
I got some weird redness on my face. My doctor said it was just a minor irritation and that my skin will be fine. But it was a little scary at first.
Use it on a small area first. Did that and it worked fine.
