Has anyone used Fluocinolone Acet 0.025% Oint 15gm for eczema or psoriasis? What was your experience?
I've been prescribed Fluocinolone Acet 0.025% Oint for my persistent eczema flare-ups. Has anyone else tried this or any similar products? I'm interested in hearing about your experiences, both good and bad. How effective was it in reducing inflammation and itching? Did you experience any of the side effects listed? If so, how did you manage them?
I had a terrible allergic reaction to this stuff. swelling up like crazy. I had to go to the ER. That's a big no for me, never again.
I've had good results with Fluocinolone for my eczema, but I always make sure to use it sparingly. My doctor recommended applying it thinly and only on the affected areas. I do this, and if it gets too dry or irritated I'll mix in some moisturizer. I've also heard that some people experience irritation at the site of application, so I'd be cautious if you have sensitive skin. It's great for short-term use, but long-term, you might want to explore other options or at least take regular breaks.
I've heard horror stories about people using this stuff long-term. It's supposed to be for short-term use only. Don't mess around with steroids if you don't have to.
