Has anyone used Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment for pink eye? What was your experience like?
I was prescribed Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment for a case of pink eye (conjunctivitis) and I'm curious about others' experiences. How effective was it for you? Did you experience any side effects like eye irritation or redness? I've heard it can be quite helpful, but I'm also a bit worried about the urgent side effects, which I assume are pretty rare. I'm doing my research, but I'd love some personal insights.
As a nurse, I can say Erythromycin Ointment is pretty standard for bacterial eye infections.
I used it for my newborn to prevent eye infections. Worked like a charm!
I had no issues with it but my boyfriend had a bad reaction to the ointment, stay alert!

It's weird but helpful to use the ointment with a clean finger. It can get messy though.
