Has anyone used Deferoxamine 2gm Inj 1 Vial and experienced any of these side effects? What symptoms to look out for and when to worry?
I'm trying to learn more about deferoxamine, which seems to have a lot of serious side effects. It's used to remove excess iron or aluminum from the body. Anybody have any experience with this drug? Did you experience side effects?
I had a severe allergic reaction to this medication. Wheezing, hives, and difficulty breathing. Scared the crap out of me, but the doctor was able to help me right away. I don't know what would've happened if I had been home alone.
These drugs can be a pain if you're not prepared. Make sure you have the right support and contact info for your doctor before you start. Also, call them if something doesn't seem right. They're there to help.
Anyone else have issues with vision or hearing? My mum was really scared about her eyesight going, but it turned out to be fine when she stopped the medication. This is one of those drugs where you need to make sure you're getting regular check-ups
I've been on this for a while due to frequent blood transfusions, but the worst side effect I've had is headache. The site of the injection gets a bit irritated, but nothing too bad.
I had a friend who needed this drug and they had a bad experience with the rapid heartbeat and dizziness that wouldnt go away. Took them awhile to convince the doctor to switch to something else, but eventually it was worth it.
The only change I noticed was the red on the urine and a tiny bit of a headache. Overall though, I did fine. Maybe I'll get unlucky in the future, but for now, no issues.
Did you know the urine can turn red? It's actually one of the more common side effects. Does not taste great. The doctor told me to expect it, so I wasn't as freaked out. If you notice this and you haven't been in an accident, don't panic like I did when I first saw it.
Seems like a lot of people experience muscle spasms and joint pain. I did as well, but my doctor prescribed some pain relievers and it got better. Not fun though — really got in the way of my daily activities.

Flushing and blue/gray skin discoloration? How do you even miss that one? I hate to think about what it feels like to experience something like that.
