Has anyone used Acyclovir Sodium 50mg/ml IV for treatment? What was your experience?
I've recently been prescribed Acyclovir Sodium 50mg/ml IV for a severe herpes infection. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones like seizures and kidney problems. Has anyone else had experience with this treatment? Serious question: How bad is the injection site irritation? I've had issues with other IV meds in the past.
I switched to oral valacyclovir after the IV treatment. Much easier to manage side effects that way.
