Has anyone tried Hematogen Forte Capsules for their anemia? How was your experience?
I've been diagnosed with Iron Deficiency Anemia and my doctor prescribed Hematogen Forte Capsules. I've read that they contain a mix of iron and vitamins and I'm curious to hear from anyone who has taken them. How have they worked out for you? I'm particularly interested in knowing about any side effects, and if you've noticed any improvement in your energy levels. I'm also wondering how long it took for you to feel better. Also, how do you take them, with or without food?
Be careful with these, I had a severe allergic reaction. I ended up in the ER.
I've been taking Hematogen Forte for about 2 months now, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my energy levels. I take them with a meal to avoid any stomach upset, and so far, no major side effects. I did get a bit of constipation initially, but that cleared up after a few weeks. Give it a shot, but keep an eye on your stool color; mine turned green for a bit, but that's normal with iron supplements. Overall, it's been a good experience, and my doctor is pleased with my blood test results!

I've tried Hematogen Forte and it just wasn't for me. I experienced a lot of stomach pain and upset. My doctor switched me to a different iron supplement that has been working well. Everyone is different, so it might be worth talking to your doctor if you face issues.
Vitamin C helps with iron absorption. I take these capsules with a glass of orange juice.
I had some mild nausea, but it went away after a few days. Definitely worth it for the energy boost.
Why do these supplements have to smell so bad? I can't get past it.
