Has Anyone Taken Magnesium Oxide 400mg Tablets for Constipation?
I've been struggling with occasional constipation and my doctor recommended trying some Magnesium Oxide 400mg Tablets. I know it's supposed to draw water into the intestines, but I'm a bit skeptical. Has anyone else tried this, and if so, how did it work for you? I'm also wondering about the side effects. I've read about potential diarrhea, but I'm hoping that won't happen to me. I guess I could use some advice on how to manage that if it does. Also, I'm a bit concerned about the really serious side effects like allergic reactions, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced those. How can I tell the difference between a side effect and a more serious reaction? I want to be prepared to call my doctor if I start feeling bad, but I don't want to overreact.
I've taken them for constipation and it works like a charm for me. No side effects either!
Side effects are possible, but I didn't have any. Just be careful and talk to your doctor.
If you're worried about side effects, talk to your pharmacist. They can give you tips on how to deal with them.
I took them for heartburn and it helped, but I did get some stomach cramps.
I've had good results with Magnesium Oxide, but always start with a lower dose. just in case.
I don't think you'll have a serious reaction, but if you do, definitely go to the ER.
Be careful, I got terrible diarrhea. It might work for you, but be ready for that.
I took these once and had to run to the bathroom every 5 minutes. Don't let that scare you though, it might be different for you. Just be prepared.
It's really weird that this stuff is all over the counter. My doctor said that dosing is important, so make sure to get that right.
I had a minor allergic reaction. Just a bit of itching but nothing serious. It went away after I stopped taking it.
