Has anyone taken Mag-Al Plus Xs Suspension for heartburn? How effective was it? What side effects did you experience?
I've been struggling with heartburn and acid indigestion lately, and my doctor recommended trying Mag-Al Plus Xs Suspension. It's an over-the-counter liquid medicine that neutralizes stomach acid and breaks up gas bubbles. I'm curious to know if anyone has used this before and how well it worked for them. Did it relieve your symptoms quickly? How long did the effects last? Were there any side effects you experienced? I had a bad reaction to it. I broke out in hives and my throat felt tight. Scary stuff. I had to go to the ER and they gave me some medication to counteract the side effects. I've avoided it ever since.
I had a really bad experience with Mag-Al Plus Xs Suspension. I took it as directed and ended up with severe diarrhea. I had to stay home from work for a couple of days because I was so sick. I'll stick to Tums from now on.

This medication doesn't work for me at all. It tastes awful too. Proton pump inhibitors were a game changer for me, but I'm aware everyone is different. I'd recommend talking with your physician to determine what's best for you.

I wish I had known about this sooner! I've been suffering with heartburn for months and haven't found anything that works. I'll definitely give Mag-Al a try and see if it helps.
