Has anyone taken Cefpodoxime Pro 200mg Tablets for a bacterial infection? Share your experience!
I was prescribed Cefpodoxime Pro 200mg Tablets for a stubborn sinus infection. I’ve read about the potential side effects, but I’m curious to hear from others who have taken this antibiotic. How did it work for you? Did you experience any of the side effects mentioned, like severe diarrhea or allergic reactions? I’m particularly worried about the rare but serious C. diff-associated diarrhea. Any tips on managing side effects or what to do if they occur? My friend had C. diff after taking this and spent a week in the hospital. It's scary, but rare. Be really careful and talk to your doc.
I had a severe reaction to this drug—hives and trouble breathing. Had to go to the ER. Be careful and watch for any signs of an allergic reaction.
I took Cefpodoxime for bronchitis last winter. It worked great, but I did get some mild diarrhea. Drinking plenty of water and eating probiotic yogurt helped a lot. No major issues here!

I’ve heard the side effects can be brutal, so be prepared. But for me, it was worth it to get rid of the infection. If you have minor side effects, maybe talk to your doctor about switching to another antibiotic?
