Has anyone taken Altoprev 20mg ER Tablets for high cholesterol? How was your experience with it?
Altoprev 20mg ER Tablets are a statin medication used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. I've been prescribed Altoprev and I'm curious about others' experiences. I've heard that it can have some serious side effects, but also that most people tolerate it well. Has anyone else taken this medication? How was your experience with it? Did you notice any improvements in your cholesterol levels? Were there any side effects? Any tips for managing them? Thanks!
I think everyone reacts differently. I tried Altoprev but it gave me really bad indigestion. My doctor switched me to another statin and I’m much better off. I guess it’s all about finding the right one.
I’ve been on Altoprev for a few months and so far, no issues. My cholesterol levels have improved. I take it with food at night as recommended. Good luck!
I was really nervous about the muscle pain but didn’t have any issues. But I do get really bad headaches. My doctor said it could be related to the medication and gave me something for the headaches. I think it’s worth it. My cholesterol levels are finally normal.
I’m on it. No issues at all. I feel great and my cholesterol levels are well within the normal range.
Side effects are worth it. Plan on taking it at night. I was taking it in the morning and got really tired and groggy all day.
