Has anyone here used Monjuvi (tafasitamab) for DLBCL? What was your experience like?
I've been newly diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and my oncologist has suggested Monjuvi (tafasitamab) in combination with lenalidomide. I'm quite nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions and bleeding. Has anyone here used Monjuvi and can share their experience? I'd love to hear about both the positives and the negatives. What should I expect during treatment, and how can I manage the side effects effectively?
Side effects are rough, but Monjuvi has kept my cancer at bay. I experienced some muscle cramps and spasms, but my doctor adjusted my electrolyte levels and it got better. Just stay vigilant about monitoring your health and report any sudden changes to your doctor.
I had a serious infusion reaction during my first dose of Monjuvi. My heart was racing, and my blood pressure was through the roof. It was scary, but the medical team handled it well. Be prepared and know the signs to watch out for. It's always better to be safe.
I was really nervous about the bleeding side effects, but I didn't experience any of those. The most annoying part was the constipation, but again, my doctor prescribed some medication and it was fine. Hang in there and talk to your doctor about all your concerns.
What really helped me was talking to other patients who have gone through the same thing. It’s comforting to know you’re not alone. I’d recommend joining a support group if you can.
Stay strong, everyone here is pulling for you! Let us know how your treatment goes.
Wow, that’s intense. I’m glad you’re okay now. How long did it take for you to recover from that infusion reaction?
Keep in mind that everyone's experience is different. What might be a huge issue for one person might be mild for another. Stay positive and trust your doctor's advice.
